Ah, my first job working on console games. Back in the halcyon days of 2009 you weren't considered a real game developer unless you made games for that most glamorous of platforms generically called "consoles."
I don't pretend to remember what the allure was that made it so damn important for me to say I worked on a game that shipped on an Xbox 360, but it was important.
Suffice it to say, when the opportunity arose to pursue that dream I chased it, and wound up moving back to Seattle after only three years in LA. I worked on all sorts of pieces of this project, both as a publisher side producer and as a development producer.
The game didn't make a huge splash when it launched, but was generally well received.
Here is a list of what my resume says I did on the game:
Writing
— Wrote and edited marketing copy, instruction manuals, and back of box text.
— Guided approval process on website development, viral ad campaigns, and the strategy guide.
— Wrote the franchise bible for the F.E.A.R. series.
Production
— Publishing producer managing the project’s development and release.
— Managed localization and localization QA, and helped maintain project's text database.
— Managed the submission and certification of the project to the target platforms.
Store Links
— Steam
— Xbox - If I could find the store link, I'd put it here, but Microsoft has apparently erased any concept of the Xbox 360 from their website. Seems like a shame to me. I still love the 360.
