I worked with the track environment team on this project. It was a one year contract, but I learned a hell of lot about what goes into making real world race tracks for these types of games.
The technology they use to build these things is incredible.
It involves lasers. Lasers!
Here is the stuff I did on the project:
Writing and Editing
— Primary writer and editor for both the internal and vendor facing wiki pages detailing how to develop track art features for Forza Motorsport 6.
Production
— Managed the track lead and track QA tasks for each sprint.
— Worked with the Environment Art Polish team to coordinate asset priorities.
— Coordinator for the track team and the brand approval and licensing department.
