My writing teachers always told me to take acting or improv classes. That understanding stories through the perspective of the performers bringing my words to life will always help to write better dialog.
Seemed logical to me.
Eventually, I Googled "acting classes Seattle," clicked on the first link, and the rest is more or less history. I started taking classes at Unexpected Productions in Seattle, and three years, and an entire coast, later I'm still chasing the high I felt after the first time I got on stage.
Below you'll find a couple of scenes I've performed in. Keep in mind, improv rarely holds up when you're not watching it in the moment.
At least, that's my excuse.
